Meet our new NP! Joey has worked in healthcare for 21 years within a variety of settings, including the Jaycee Burn Center at UNC, and the neurological ICU at Duke. After serving as a nurse for several years, he pursed an advanced practice degree in nursing and graduated from ECU as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in 2009. Joey served as an ANP for Duke neurosurgery and then, more recently, worked to provide pre-operative care for high-risk patients at WakeMed and UNC/Rex hospitals. Soon after, he continued on to pursue his post-masters studies and became a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). In his spare time, you can find Joey with his wife and two kids, attending his son’s ball games, daughter’s dance recitals and theater productions, and completing home projects.

NURSE INJECTOR

As a nurse with 41 years of experience, Beth has worked in the ER, ICU, recovery room, and cardiac nursing. When she’s not working, Beth enjoys camping, kayaking, cooking, canning, and spending time with her husband. As an integral member of the Magnolia team, you will find Beth serving as a nurse injector on the aesthetics side of our business.

Certified Medical Assistant

A Raleigh native with roots in Dunn and Smithfield, Haiden brings valuable experience from her two years working in a dermatology office before joining the team. She has a genuine love for connecting with people and creating a welcoming experience for patients. When she’s not working, Haiden enjoys relaxing at home, spending time with her two dogs, and making the most of sunny days on the lake.

Medical Assistant

Kathy, one of the newest additions to the Magnolia MA team! Before joining Magnolia, she spent 10+ years in property management, so staying organized and keeping things running smoothly comes naturally to her. Kathy is also a mama to one, and outside of work she loves relaxing at the beach or by the pool.

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR, CNA

Julia Cornejo is a Certified Nursing Assistant with 12 years of experience in healthcare. After spending time in customer service, she returned to the medical field and now serves patients both as a CNA and at the front desk. Born and raised in Clinton, North Carolina, Julia moved to Smithfield after getting married. Outside of work, she enjoys volleyball and spending time with her husband and two children.

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR

Born in Dunn & raised in Benson, North Carolina, Monica perfected her first language [ Spanish ] to those in need. Monica went from working in fast food restaurants to helping farmers receive the benefits and care they needed to landing a job at a pediatric office where she was able to use her interpreting skills while learning about the medical field.

Monica is very family oriented (“They are my biggest supporters!) and you can catch her shopping, traveling, and spending time with with them and friends often. A foodie, Monica loves to try different culture’s foods and during summer time, she loves spending weekends at the beach.

Patient Care Coordinator

Born and raised in Johnston County, Paula has built a diverse career that spans banking, administration, childcare, and insurance. She previously owned Playmates Childcare and is also licensed in insurance. A lifelong friend of Tonya, Paula values the strong connections she’s made in her community. Outside of work, she is a proud mom and grandmother of eight, and she loves spending time with her family. Travel is one of her favorite pastimes—especially trips to the beach, where she feels most at home!

Office & Patient Coordinator

Born and raised in Clayton, Daryl has always had a passion for serving her community. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Mount Olive, an associate’s in Paralegal Technology from Johnston Community College, and completed her Certified Nursing Assistant education through Wake Tech in 2012.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, riding motorcycles, playing with her dogs, and spending time with her 4-year-old son, Forrest. At Magnolia, Daryl loves helping patients navigate life’s more difficult moments with warmth and care!

Patient Care Coordinator

Born in Florida and raised in Chicago, Bella is currently pursuing her studies in Psychology, Child Development, and Family Science at East Carolina University, with the goal of becoming a child psychologist. She’s an active member of Alpha Phi sorority, volunteers at the Humane Society, and loves spending time with her rescue pup, Beau.

In her free time, Bella enjoys soaking up the sun at the beach, connecting with friends, and giving back to her community.

Medical Administrative Assistant

Meet Janna Mae Chan, RMT—a talented Licensed Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) from the Philippines who graduated in the Top 5 of her class in 2022, earning Cum Laude honors. She’s also contributed her time and skills as a Philippine Red Cross volunteer and gained valuable experience as a Medical Administrative Assistant. Janna loves exploring new cuisines, traveling, and always learning something new. When she’s off the clock, she’s happiest snuggling up with her eight adorable fur babies.

FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR

Born and raised in Johnston County, Jennifer earned her education at Johnston Community College and carries a variety of degrees and certificates, including an Associate Degree in General Education, her EMT-I, her auctioneer license in 2006, and her Insurance Agent license. When she’s not busy working, you can find Jennifer with her three kids, cooking, making blankets, or farming.

DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Andrea, Magnolia’s Director of Operations, was born in Raleigh and has called Smithfield home since high school. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she studied pre-law and English before building an impressive 32-year career at IBM specializing in Risk & Compliance and Cyber Security. Outside of work, Andrea loves spending time with her 15-year-old son, family, and friends, as well as traveling, relaxing at the beach, and getting lost in a good book.

Marketing Director

Megan Britt is the Marketing Director at Magnolia, bringing over 15 years of experience across finance, small business, and corporate America before launching her own marketing firm in 2018. A dynamic strategist with a keen eye for social trends, Megan thrives on crafting compelling content and building impactful brand stories. When she's not behind the camera or analyzing the latest digital trends, you can find her at Burn Bootcamp, spending quality time with her husband and two boys, or jetting off to a warm, sunny destination.

Onsite LabCorp Phlebotomist

Kimesha Smith is a certified phlebotomist with 22 years of experience at Labcorp. Raised in Johnston County, North Carolina, Kimesha is a proud mom of two and grandmother to a sweet six-year-old. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, staying involved in her church and relaxing on the couch whenever she gets the rare chance!
